Using arts, media and metaphor as age-old
tools for in-depth exploration and communication
From the beginning of consciousness as we know it, humans have made use
of the arts, media and metaphor to make sense of the complexities of our
world, build bridges between old and new and communicate change. Image
and story resonate within and without on many different levels.
Often people will say that they are not creative when what they mean is
that they cannot draw, paint, sing or write like the Masters.
Our workshops are not about delivering technical perfection. They are
about using the arts as practical and inspirational tools to explore issues,
ideas and deeper potentials.
At Silver Owl we believe passionately
that engaging people of all ages, cultures and abilities actively in the
creative process leads to insight and new understanding. Working integratively
across the arts and different creative media – story, images,
music, clay, paint - gives us access to an expansive and mysterious
language in which ideas, issues and solutions can be explored, voiced
and shared.
